Description and history
This remarkable Lancia Flaminia Touring Superleggera 2.500 3C, built in 1963 by the legendary Carrozzeria Touring of Milan, represents one of the most elegant and collectible versions of the Flaminia series.
Constructed entirely from aluminium using the patented “Superleggera” lightweight system, this car perfectly blends craftsmanship, performance, and design — a true symbol of Italian automotive excellence in the 1960s.
Originally registered in Catania, Sicily, on June 27, 1963, it still retains its original license plates and registration documents, greatly enhancing its authenticity and value.
Having passed through the hands of very few owners, it underwent a comprehensive, fully documented restoration in 2017, amounting to €95,000 on top of an initial purchase cost of €65,000, for a total investment of €160,000.
All invoices are available.
In 2018, the car was awarded both the ASI Homologation and the ASI Certificate of Historical Relevance, confirming its originality, authenticity, and excellent condition.
It is also registered in the International Touring Register.
Technical features
The 2.500 3C version is powered by Lancia’s 2.5-litre V6 engine with three Weber carburetors, producing around 140 hp and reaching a top speed of over 190 km/h.
A four-speed manual gearbox, De Dion rear axle, and disc brakes on all wheels provide refined handling and exceptional driving dynamics for its era.
The lightweight aluminium body and tubular frame, derived from the Flaminia GT, ensure balance, agility, and a remarkable driving experience.
Rarity and collectibility
Only 672 examples of the Flaminia Touring Superleggera 2.500 3C were ever built, making it one of the rarest and most sought-after versions of the model.
The elegant Newmarket Grey exterior combined with red leather interior is one of the most appreciated color combinations among collectors.
A rare opportunity to acquire a fully restored and certified example of an iconic Italian GT — at a price representing just a fraction of its total restoration investment.
